One simple commission when your item sells. No listing fees, no monthly fees, and no buyer fees.
Sellers pay
18%
of the sale price, only when an item sells. This one number covers our fee, payment processing, and buyer protection.
Buyers pay
No fees
Buyer protection is free and we add no fee of our own. You pay the item price, shipping, and any sales tax the law requires. Nothing else.
An example
A dress sells for $400.00, which is around our typical listing price.
Shipping is separate from this, and you choose who pays it when you list. If you choose to cover it yourself, that is usually somewhere around $10 to $27 for a boxed gown, based on typical shipping rates rather than on our own sales. It is not included in the figure above.
Buyer protection, included
Protection is the reason to buy here rather than from a stranger, so we do not charge for it. It matters more with weddings than with anything else, because the date does not move.
Your money is held until it arrives
The seller is not paid the moment you click. Your payment stays with us until the item is delivered.
Time to check it over
You get a window to confirm the item matches its description before the money is released.
A refund if it is not as described
If what arrives does not match the listing, you are refunded. A real person at Vows 2 Vintage decides, not a stranger on social media.
Every listing is read by a person
Listings are reviewed before they go live. Very few marketplaces do this.
Sellers are verified
Sellers pass identity and bank verification through Stripe, so you are not buying from an anonymous account.
Tracked shipping
Every order ships with tracking, so delivery is a fact rather than an argument.
Earning a lower rate
We are building a program where sellers who sell more earn a lower commission. It is not live yet, and we are setting the details using real sales rather than guesswork.
One commitment in the meantime: a seller's rate will never go up. Better rates are earned, and anything we introduce will be a discount rather than an increase.
The fine print
- No fees to list. You are charged only when an item sells.
- No minimum fee. The commission is always a straight percentage of the sale price.
- Payment processing is included in the 18%, not billed separately.
- We add no fees at checkout. Buyers pay the item price, actual shipping, and any sales tax the law requires. Nothing else.
